APPG on TWS Held a Meeting on the Human Rights Violations in Kashmir
On 27 October 2014 APPG on TWS held a successful meeting with regard to the Human Rights Violations in Kashmir. The meeting at the Westminster Palace, House of Commons, Portcullis House, Wilson Room was packed by many cordially invited officials and people from different communities. Mr Dave Anderson MP, Chair of APPG on TWS chaired this important meeting and the following people delivered speeches :
Alderman Mushtaq Lasharie, Chair of the TWS, Lord Qurban Hussein Vice Chair of APPG on TWS, Kamal Alam, Journalist Saundra Saterlee, Chair of the Executive Committee of the TWS, MBE Toaha Qureshi, Khalid Mahmood MP, Mr Said Ibne Abbas High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK, David Ward MP, Andrew Stephenson MP and Chair of APPG on Pakistan, and representatives from Kashmiri community.
All participants of the meeting expressed their great concern about the continuous Human Rights Violations in the area and urged India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir crisis peacefully.
