Genocide, Looting and Ethnocracy are the Causes of Famine in Ethiopia
Genocide, Looting and Ethnocracy are the Causes of Famine in Ethiopia. Human Rights Violations and lack of democracy are the main causes of the current famine in Ethiopia. Hundreds of thousands of political opposition members are still languishing in prison.
The lawless TPLF has dared to kidnap and extradite the British National Andargachew Tsigie and is still enjoying its lawlessness because it did not face any serious action from the British Government and the international community. The UK and and other Western Countries are still supporting the regime by keeping cool diplomatic relations and also by providing a huge amount of money as aid.
Lots of young people are intimidated and persecuted from their own country and perished in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Sahara Desert. Those who arrived in the Middle East and South Africa have been beheaded or massacred by by xenophobic and Jihadists. Hundreds of thousands of Amhara farmers who have been producing surplus product have been displaced, massacred, and persecuted by the ethnocentric TPLF.
It is ridiculous to talk about development in figures when Millions are starving, tens of thousands are displaced and when genocide and ethnic cleansing are in progress. Global Financial Integrity (GIF) has reported that in 2011 TPLF looted 11.7 Billion US Dollars only between 2000 and 2009.
In addition to this, according to www.celebrities.org the guerrilla fighter Zenawi’s net worth currently stands at $3 Billion US Dollar. This huge amount of money can feed not only the 8 Million starving Ethiopians but also could feed the whole Eastern part of Africa. The remnants of Zenawi have continued to beg money in Millions while they are robbing in Billions.
Moreover, land is controlled by the criminal regime to systematically exclude and starve the majority of Amharas, Oromos and other Southern region ethnic group farmers by imposing high taxation and high fertiliser prices which are the tools used by the TPLF to impoverish and marginalised the Ethiopian people mercilessly.
Those countries who have failed to accept the gross human rights violations in Ethiopia and aligned with the minority criminal ethnic group in the name of war against terror will regret deeply soon. After all it is the Amharas, Oromos and people from the southern Ethiopia ethnic group who are fighting and dying in Somalia and other part of Africa.
