Merhabete is found in North Shoa (Amhara State) and River Jema flows many hundreds of Miles between Merhabete on the North and Menz, Tegulet, Moret and Jiru and Insaro on the South. Jema is the biggest tributary of the Abay (Blue Nile). Some say that there isn’t much difference in their water content. Anbesa-wudim retreated to the central highlands and settled in Merhabete. Making Merhabete its base King Anbesa-wudim (member of the Solomonic Dynasty) counter attacked, and successfully defeated its opponent and Yodit the Monster was Killed in Merhabete. The Solomonic Dynasty went back to Axum again and Ruled Ethiopia and other near by areas for more than 40 years. But situations were not favorable for them In Axum and so returned back to Merhabete and stayed until they regain their legitimate power from the Zagwe Dynasty peacefully. Then they moved to Debre Birhan, Gondar, Debre Birhan and Ankober respectively and finally settled in Addis Ababa.
